Are You Overly Nice? Here Are All Your Struggles Summed Up Well

Image
A tendency to say 'Yes' to everything? "Nice guys finish last." Being nice is always admired. Isn't it? Be it the loving and forgiving attitude towards others or the kind-heartedness. Well, I'd say being nice isn't all that easy! Don't believe me? Then let me tell you that nice people, in fact, overly nice people can make their own lives difficult. At times, such people give others the benefit of the doubt when they don’t deserve it. And often, they might feel trapped by their own 'niceness.' If you are one, I bet you won’t deny any of these! 1. You can be taken as someone 'fake.'  Optimism is something people aren't used to. Hence, yours can be tagged as fake. But hey, you know how pure and positive you are!  2. 'No' is a difficult word for you. You are a people-pleaser. Saying the word 'NO' is something very mean to you. Tch-tch, I feel you. But darling, you oug...

Cyber-Stalking Or Cyber-Bullying

Image
Cyber-stalking cyber bully Social Media Stalking Is Not The Same as Cyberstalking Some people use the term "stalking" to describe following someone's activities via their social network. It's important that we not devalue the serious nature of the crime of cyberstalking by using the term incorrectly. Introduction Cyberstalking, simply put, is online stalking. It has been defined as the use of technology, particularly the Internet, to harass someone. Common characteristics include false accusations, monitoring, threats,  identity theft , and data destruction or manipulation. Cyberstalkers use email, instant messages, phone calls, and other communication devices to stalk, whether it takes the form of sexual harassment, inappropriate contact, or just plain annoying attention to your life and to your family's activities. Forms of Cyberstalking Cyberstalking cases differ from regular stalking in that it is technologically based, though some ...

Introvert or an Extrovert

Image
There are a few theories about the differences between introverts and extroverts, and some recent research has even shown that  our genetic makeup has a lot to do with which tendencies are strongest in each of us  , introversion and extroversion actually relate to  where we get our energy from. Or in other words,  how we recharge our brains. INTROVERTS : Given the choice, introverts will devote their social energy to a small group of people they care about most, preferring a glass of wine with a close friend to a party full of strangers. Introverts think before they speak, have a more deliberate approach to risk, and enjoy solitude. They feel energized when focusing deeply on a subject or activity that really interests them. When they’re in overly stimulating environments (too loud, too crowded, etc.), they tend to feel overwhelmed. They seek out environments of peace, sanctuary, and beauty; they have an active inner life...

Afraid to die

Image
you are afraid to die and want to overcome it? First and foremost, you are obsessing. Second, stop it. Third, how? You realize that what you are doing is a complete waste of time. Look, you are going to die Regardless of whether you are afraid of it or not. One day you will no longer be aware of your day to day as you will be dead and truly and honestly I can tell you… YOU WILL NOT CARE. As you will be too dead to care. Literally the only thing you are doing is wasting time meanwhile you are alive concerning yourself of something that you cannot change. Pretty stupid, eh? Okay, how do you start the whole process exactly? I will tell you. First, take some time alone, say an hour a couple times of a week and meditate. Ponder of “exactly” the reason WHY you are afraid. Be honest to yourself. For me the only way through which one could overcome the fear of death is by preparing for it instead of fearing it. We all know sooner or later we are going ...

Family Problems & issues

Image
Our first relationships are with our family members. They’re the relationships we hold dear, struggle to maintain, and agonize about whether to let go. And sometimes, they drive us crazy.   Family problems can seem overwhelming. If you or a friend are dealing with separation, divorce, alcoholic, abused or abusive parents, or another family conflict, this is a place to learn more about ways to cope.                 Every family has problems once in awhile. But sometimes family conflict becomes too much. Often, this is because of trouble understanding each other, changing expectations as you grow older or lack of trust among family members. It might also be because your parents see things differently from you since they are from a different generation, and maybe because raised in a different city or country, or when they disagree on a topic When Parents Disagree     All couples argue from time t...

Overthinking

Image
Overthinking. We all do it – of course we all do it. I’ve come to the conclusion that it is probably one of my more hard-hitting habits. I don’t even realize I do it anymore; it has become that natural. Overthinking causes damage, and I mean the “it’s 3am and I’m overanalyzing every aspect of my life – what I’ve done right – what I’ve done wrong in the span of my 15 years on this earth” kind of damage. And by damage I am referring to the beautiful 2 hours of sleep I am willingly allowing myself to lose at night. That’s the problem with overthinking – your mind is going a mile a minute. If something is causing you that much distress or fixation, then it’s clearly affecting your state of mind – and sleep pattern. Innocuous thoughts or not, something is important enough to you. My thoughts used to stay scribbled onto the pages of my journals until I started unknowingly overthinking out loud which basically constituted in word vomit – and a lot of it. Maybe that’s what makes over...
